They call her love love love love love

Today I am relaxing listening to the song from the Nivea commercial "She is Love" - Parachute VA. It's a beautiful song.

I'm on Spring Break and enjoying it thoroughly. I started it well by getting a top 6 score on my midterm for my Emily Dickinson class and doing well on my German oral exam. Since I've been home I have done enough to fill one week. I have spent lots of time with my boyfriend, I've had one of the best nights out in a long time , spent time with my sister and I have gone on a couple walks that were beautiful.
Last night I saw the movie Shopaholic it was a pretty cute movie . It was a little predictable but it's one of those movies. This week I have to study for a German History midterm that scares me a bit. I'm not really strong in knowing who some of the important players before WWII are, but I will be fine.
My friend from Ohio is coming up to see me for awhile which should be fun. I'm going to take her to the Spotted Cow because that has always been one of our goals, but when she is here we never accomplish it. I think we are going to try to plan something special to do but I'm not sure yet.

I cannot believe it is only 2 months until school is over. I'm really excited for the Summer. I will be moving to Kalamazoo the second week of May. I have already applied for some jobs in Kalamazoo, so I am looking forward to hearing back from them. Until then, I will be focusing on school. I hope time flies.

They should just fffffade away...

I haven't typed on here in a long long long time. I figured it was time. I'm guessing something has had to of happened since the last time I posted. This semester has been pretty smooth. I haven't had a lot to do for classes, but this is definitely the quiet before the storm because I know that I have 2 ten page papers all do this upcoming month and it's just going to be a hoot.
I'm totally in love with Emily Dickinson she just rocks as a poet. My teacher for the class is an awesome guy so it makes it easier to like the class. I cannot believe Emily did not have anyone that taught her how to write and that she really did not even have a lot of time to write it was just a hobby of hers. She was way before her time.
That was just a side note about my favorite class. But my life is going as well as it could be. Everything just feels right. I'm with peace with a lot of things and I feel like I've grown a lot since last year.

Le Disko

Today I am sitting in a place called Rocky's Lounge studying for my last final. I have been here since 9:30 am and I'm scared. If I get an 'A' on the final I get an 'A' in the class if I fail the final I fail the class. I'm having problems spelling in phonetics but other than that I pretty much feel ready.
The Price is Right is on TV here and the person has a chance to win a trip to San Diego...I wanna go :(.
I will be driving home around 2:30 today and staying in Adrian until January 12th! That is all for now it was really lame but what can one do?

And it's been awhile...

So it's been since September that I have blogged on here. Next week is my last week of classes. I have 3 exams and Thursday I will be home for a month. I am definitely looking forward to getting to spend some time with the people I care about. It seems like every weekend I have came home I have been so busy, so it will be nice to have some time. Since September not a lot has changed. I had a really nice Thanksgiving with James' and my family and I just have good feelings about this semester and the next one to come. I have been so happy this school year. I go to school during the week, come home on the weekends and spend time with my boyfriend, friends and family.
This month has been nice so far. I have done decorating at my apartment for Christmas and also helped my sister decorate at her place. I have not finished my shopping yet but I figure once break begins I will have some time to shop.

Secret life of Alicia 22 year old...

I'm doubting anyone reads this but it is nice to write thoughts out. Almost 2 weeks ago, I turned 22. Thursday before my birthday was spent hanging out with my friend Katie at my apartment. We played cards, drank and sang Wicked until our hearts content. Friday night I drove home to Adrian and went out to dinner with my family at Golden Wok. It was a lot of fun and I got a million cards with money so that is always good. Saturday I woke up early and got on a train in Jackson to go to Kalamazoo to visit my boyfriend James. I got there around 10:30. First we went to Qudoba and got burritos. It was pouring down rain the whole weekend. The rest of the time was spent watching movies, playing video games and just spending quality time with each other.
School has been pretty interesting. I am learning more about my favorite subjects (culture, German, geography, and politics. This past weekend I spent a lot of time with my friend Katie we went shopping, to the UT football game (lame), and we went walking at one of Toledo's metro parks. It was amazing it reminded me of parks around home walking with friends all summer.
This weekend my sister is coming to Toledo friday to go out to lunch and shopping with me. After shopping, I will be going home to Adrian to celebrate James' 23 birthday on the 28th. I hope to spend a lot of time with him and I miss my family even though it's only been like 2 weeks.

New at this but hopefully it will only get better from here...

I'm awake...
I went to my first real live auction yesterday. It was exciting bidding on random boxes of ceramic cats and Japanese sake sets. I ended up getting the sake set, a oriental tea pot and an array of cats statues. My friends are going to be scared.Tomorrow technically today will be a day of back-straining work because I decided to also buy a oak wood dresser, a canary yellow desk , and a dark wood dining room table for my apartment all together costing thirty-one dollars which I believe is a steal .
I will be toting all of this jazz to my apartment tomorrow morning. My sister agreed to help move all of the heavy stuff up my three flights of stairs :) she loves me. I believe all of this crap is going to make my black, gold and beige apartment a little more homey.
Currently, I'm listening to the most amazing CD my friend Aimee made for me out of pure thoughtfulness. I'm thinking about how I'm excited for tomorrow but not excited that it will be less than a week until I go back to Toledo. I am going to miss this summer. It was full of days that were amazing, hard, and days that were plain peaceful laziness. This upcoming weekend will be the last "big" event for me before school starts. The German-American festival starts Friday. I hope to have a nice evening there with my boyfriend.
